Westminster School for Young Children

Westminster School for Young Children, sponsored by Westminster Presbyterian Church, was established in 1969 and offers a half-day preschool program where children are encouraged to progress at their own growth and maturity level while experiencing a wide range of hands-on learning experiences. WSYC is for children 18 months through Pre-K. We feel children learn by doing and encourage creativity at all age levels. For this reason our classrooms are both stimulating and busy. Children participate in readiness skills, gross and fine motor skills, role play, science experiments, cooking, singing, and individual and group play. Children also learn about different cultural customs and engage in movement and music consistently. Whether indoors or outdoors, children are offered a variety of challenging experiences with quality equipment, toys, manipulatives and games.
