The Durham Arts Council (DAC) is a vibrant cultural hub dedicated to promoting and supporting the arts in Durham, North Carolina. Classes
We offer classes, workshops, and camps throughout the whole year in just about every arts category you can imagine: ceramics, painting/drawing, printmaking, mixed media, bookbinding, photography, graphic design, literary arts, theatre, dance, music, and more! Courses are available for beginning and experienced artists, alike. And, from one-time workshops to weekly courses, we have a variety to fit every schedule.

Camps
The Durham Arts Council offers four exciting camp programs: Mini Camp, Cultural Camp, Cirque de Danse Intensive, and Teen Intensives. These programs provide a range of creative experiences for children and teens, from art exploration to dance and performance. DAC also offers a Summer Arts Teen Volunteer Program, where teens can gain valuable experience while helping younger campers. Whether you're looking for fun, hands-on art activities or more focused, intensive learning, there’s something for everyone at DAC this summer!
