Duke String School

The Duke University String School offers a comprehensive program for young string musicians. Students participate in weekly lessons, ensemble classes, and chamber music, with a focus on both technical skill and musical artistry. The program includes a variety of ensembles, from beginner groups to advanced orchestras, as well as summer camps and private lessons. Since its founding in 1967, the school has emphasized accessibility, welcoming students of all backgrounds and financial situations. The school’s goal is to foster a love for music while helping students reach their full potential.
