A Place at the Table is Raleigh’s first pay-what-you-can café, offering a welcoming and inclusive dining experience for all individuals, regardless of their financial means. The café operates on a pay-what-you-can model, where patrons can choose to pay the suggested price, donate less, volunteer for their meal, or pay it forward to others in need. Through this innovative approach, the café combats food insecurity and promotes dignity by allowing everyone to share a meal together. Over 80 volunteers contribute daily, fostering a sense of community while providing delicious, locally-sourced comfort food. The café serves breakfast and lunch, ensuring that no one goes without a warm, nourishing meal.
